Well I have returned to work yesterday, over a week before the doctor said I should.
The bottom line is that I need the money and can't afford to be sat at home watching Bargain Hunt and Ready, Steady, Cook. That's the down side of temping. I am hoping to eventual be permanent here but things are slow in this organisation.
I did enjoy my time at home, though. It was nice to loaf around and not feel guilty about it. Well, I still did some chores. I caught up with the laundry, washed the sofa cushion covers, cooked, hoovered (twice!), cleaned the bathroom, changed the sheets and ordered a new microwave to be delivered.
I also had the groceries delivered to our flat from Tesco, and it was all a very good experience. They can deliver the next day and I ordered heavy things that, because we live so far from the supermarket and don't have a car, we can only pick up in drips and drabs. I had a bag of potatoes, bottles of oils and tinned food delivered.
My only complaint is that I ordered 3 sweet potatoes. I did get 3 GIGANTIC ones, which were each nearly the same size as the butternut squash I ordered. Good thing I really love sweet potatoes.
Wow, what a boring entry. Why do I bother? Sorry kids!
