E16 Sucks?

So apparently E16 is one of the worst inner city areas for Broadband connection in the UK, where you're lucky if you get 512K. There's no cable broadband and everything seems to be hit and miss.

I don't understand how they can build all these new shiny blocks aimed at middle-class City workers and neglect to work on this little point.

On the bright side we have got Sky TV working. And to be fair, E16 is a glorious place to be on a hot summer weekend. Breakfast on the balcony watching the sunrise over the river, sunbathing in the serene local park, friendly neighbours and we even walked the foot tunnel under the Thames to Woolwich.

We explored Woolwich Market and the Woolwich Arsenal Museum and walked along the banks to look at our Estate from the south side of the river. We could see Canary Wharf and the City glittering in the late afternoon sun and the Thames itself seemed to sparkle.

We took the ferry back to North Woolwich as we had decide the foot tunnel was frightening and dangerous and that I should never cross it alone.
