Well we still haven't found a flat to live in.
We didn't actually accomplish much at the weekend, mind you. We only went to one flat viewing in Whitechapel/Bethnal Green and the estate agent was an hour late to meet us. It turned out to be the near perfect flat for our budget. I say near because it was in the middle of yet another dodgy council estate.
By coincident Stuart was celebrating his 30th Birthday (again) at the Pleasure Unit so we decided to walk down to the flat afterwards to see what it was like at night.
We had to cross the park, which was well lit but did have a Police Witness Appeal saying "On June 26th at 1:20am a young couple were assaulted by 5 Asian youths and the woman was sexually assaulted. Did you see what happened?" Not Reassuring.
Once we got to the estate there were a few groups of hooded youths drinking, smoking and playing music in the darkened playground right outside the flat.
It was a definate NO NO NO after that.
Today we're seeing two more flats. It is getting worrying now because we only have 2 weeks left before we have to move and Tim is going away to a stag do this weekend so he won't be around. It's stressful. Oh, and I don't have a job now. EEEek.

It's a shame that something near suitable has to be rejected but it was a wise move to check out the night life! Good Luck! My fingers are crossed for you!
