Still we search on.
Last night we saw a small but gorgeous flat in Wood Green. It was nearly perfect. Near the tube and shops, loads of buses, small terrace and instead of a wall there was a huge window that you could see for miles from. The view was utterly stunning. It had a dishwasher, and storage space.
I think we were about to take it when we realised there was no oven or washing machine. The kitchen areas was very small and hadn't been finished. The lady then informed us that there would be 2 electric hobs added but no oven. Instead she was planning on getting some sort of new fangled Microwave Oven that doubles as a normal oven but would still be small.
Also, the washing machines were on the ground floor of the building. There were only 2 that were to be shared between at least 10 tenants. There was a note saying washing was only permitted until 9pm too. Utterly rubbish. Imagine 10 professionals fighiting it out to use the washing machine after work.
I rather have a washing machine than a dishwasher. There's only 2 of us and we've been doing just fine without a dishwasher for the past ten years.
It's so irritating trying to find a flat and landlords seem to make these ridiculous decisions sometimes.
Tonight the quest continues in Bethnal Green....
