They're Still Pissed Off About Iraq : EUROVISION 2007

Well, it was that special time of year again. The festival of frommage and high campness.

Quick Overview from the BBC HERE or stay tuned for my ramblings.

Liverpool St David invited me to a party at Chris and Arwen's neighbour's flat in Bethnal Green. They were ever so organised, too! They had score sheets, pens and even people dressed as trolly dollys in honour of Scooch.

Unfortunately I pulled Armania in the sweepstakes. Argh. They were so dull.

The party was hilarious, and some of the people there were really hardcore Eurovision fans. They knew the words to some of this year's song, and seemed to know all the songs from the past 10 years for that matter! David was feeling the gay shame, I think.

We missed the first few acts. Still, it was a laugh. I thought the Greek entry should have done better but we were all blown away by Serbia and its lesbians!

I also like Russia with their cross of Britney Spears/Tatu and Girls Aloud rockin' pop girl group.

The Ukraine was brilliant as well. It was a drag queen dressed like a shiny disco balls.

The WHAT THE FUCK? award for the night definately goes to France. I couldn't find a clip of them with their Jean Paul Gaultier designed outfits, which certainly added to the weirdness of the whole thing.

Clearly, the rest of Europe is still pissed off with the UK or far too interested in their neighbours. I thought Scooch should have done a lot better than they did but the show seems to be very political now.

Serbia won, and deservedly so!
