According to this article Masterfood, who produce some lovely chocolate products such as Mars Bars, Snickers, Maltesers, Milky Ways (one of my favourites!!) will now be adding cow rennet to their sweets!
This typw of rennet comes from the stomach of dead calves, making the product UNSUITABLE for vegetarians. There are vegetarian rennets, which they must have been using until now.
I don't know why they think this is a good idea. I can't believe they're taking my candy bars away from me. The Vegetarian Society has protested this as being a backwards step and I agree
