No Shit

The BBC today reported that Adult AD(H)D is not properly treated in the UK. It's no surprise to anyone with ADHD.

I started the process of diagonsis in February 06 and I am still waiting for treatment. I had to go to my GP, then write a letter to them to remind them, then be seen by a local psychiatrist to be referred to the only Adult ADHD clinic in London, where I had one appointment in Mid-Oct and one at the end of Novemeber. The last two appointments where just to get a diagnosis...I've been told I can't start treatment until late February.

In the meantimeI feel like I can't really move on with my career as I don't know if treatment will effective. I feel like I am in pergutory.
