Instead of going to bed early last night I stayed up until 3:30am finishing The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. It's the first time in years that a novel has made me cry.
It's such an unusual book and it will come back to me often. I highly recommend it but have the tissue handy as there is deep sadness between the covers (but joy as well.) In that sense it reminded me slightly of Wuthering Heights (another one of my favourite novels), where there is so much love between the characters but life conspires against them.
I was also sad because I didn't want the novel to end, I wanted to read it forever and ever but it came to an end. It was simply rude!
Dad is now trying to put up a curtain in this very room and it keeps falling on him so I will leave you now!
