And Another

...Ear infection. It’s starting to hurt and the antibiotics are unusual and no one seems to have them in stock so I will have to wait.

Grrr.

Another grip my flatmate and I are having at the moment are the guys downstairs, whom we used to get on with quite well. We’ve helped each other out a few times in the past, but recently they’ve turned into assholes, and playing loud, mainstream house music all night long at weekends. They never go to bars or clubbing but instead impose their good times on us.

When Toni went to complain this past Saturday night (she takes classes at the weekend so needs to sleep) they shouted, swore and slammed their door in her face.

So I have taken the matter to the council, and I have begun a log. The council have given me the number to the Noise Patrol, who will come out next time they play music loudly, and give them a warning. If it happens again the council will have evidence and take legal action.

It’s sad it has come to this but it’s happening too often. We have tried to open dialogue but so far they have ignored us. Also, their dogs bark constantly, they often have blazing rows, the dogs smell up the shared hall (they never walk them), and slam doors all the time.

Oh, their gripe with us…they can hear our washing machine’s spin cycle in their living room. That doesn’t quite compare to loud, shitty, hand-bag house banging all night and morning long until lunch time, does it?
