End of the Album?

Ash have announced they will stop making studio albums in favour of releasing internet singles.

Interesting. Is this a bit of laziness on Ash's part? Or is it a step towards how music will be sold in the future? A publicity stunt? Or is Tim Wheeler having a bad hair day?

I think eventually all those internet singles will find themselves on a CD in a shop.
