So Toronto.

It has been a slight anti-climax. On Monday the dog, Posh, got hit by a car. It was frightening. We heard her screaming. We thought it was another dog but then we realised she wasn't here and so we ran outside. We brazed ourselves for the worse.

She wa sitting in the lawn with her paw up. A man said she'd taken quite a tumble. She had dirt on her left side. Dad quickly picked her up and put her in the car. We drove her to the Downtown Animal Hospital, where they immediately took her for treatment. Their service was extremely professional, friendly and considerate.

Posh's left arm had been broken but otherwise she was fine. She had to stay in the hospital over night as they had to reset her arm. She was limping around with a purple bandage on her arm all week.

They couldn't set her arm properly so my parents have just now taken her for surgery. They are going to put a metal plate in her arm. The poor thing. She is such an active, good-natured dog, this is going to be hard on her. She was so excited as they took her to the hospital this morning. She thought she was going for a walk.

So for Dad's 60th on Thursday we didn't do much. We had planned on spending the day in Niagara-on-the-Lake but we couldn't leave the dog all day. Also, as my parents have just moved to a new home they are spending most of the time on DIY and fixing up the house. There are boxes everywhere and my parents are preoccupied with that.

We did go out to dinner and the cinema instead, and it was nice.

Today we are going to Canada's Wonderland for some rides. The weather network had promised sunshine but it looks like rain. As it has been for the last 5 days. Fucking hurricane.

Still, this all beat being in that shitty office in The City.
