I am alive, just busy at work.
Party Proactive at Fire was the event that kept Welsh David, Bryan and myself extremely entertained on Saturday.
Definately the best hard dance night I've been to outside of Trade. Fire has been done a bit and is more invitating and warmer than it it was before. The crowd was dedicated, and we were all there not to seen, not to pull, but just to dance to some fucking brilliant music.
The highlight, once more, had to be Pete Wardman's B2B with Justin Bourne. Intelligent, clean and sophisticated hard house. Genius.
Also great sets by Rachel Auburn (was it reall her though?), Danny Gilligan and (what was the name of the lady he did the B2B with???).
The *Ting* should be shot. Although she played some excellent tunes, there's no need for a DJ to sing along to the tracks- especially hard dance! A DJ should let her decks do the talking. It broke up the rhythemn of her set and made it choppy&messy. It was hard workd for everyone trying to dance.
