Nightmares Do Come True

The BBC's Horizon had a programme on Global Dimming. It was pretty much one of the more distressing documentaries I've ever seen. In a nutshell, we're all going to die. Sooner than we though.

Apparently all the pollution in the air has been deflecting sunlight back into space, delaying the effects of global warming. As we reduce air pollution, though, we will start feeling the force of global warming, and it's worse than previously thought.If we don't reduce air pollution there will be more famines, hurricanes, and severe weather. But if we do, we get global warming....arghh...

..*sigh* Not sure what we can do about this one! We have until 2030 to sort it, afer that, it will be too late. So say the scientist on this programme, anyway.
