Weekend Brief

Friday

1- Babushka Caledonian Road. Lovely decor, great cocktails, fun music until the hip hop dj turned up. Attended by: Lvpl St David, Sid, Daniella.

2- Lincoln Lounge. Heaving, warm, welcoming, and Kate Bush's Wuthering Heights was played as we entered. It was a sign. Attended by lots of people. I also received the best compliment of my life when I was told by a group of girls that I looked like one of the women in America's Next Top Model. If only I watched the show and new who they were referring to. Sure, they probably had one too many margaritas but I wanted to take them with me as my Self-Esteem Possee.

3- Playtime. It kicked ass, especially Mike Monday's latino/salsoul half hour. It was wicked. Attended by: Aussie Chris, Ben, Claudia, Hannah in fabulous new hair style, Welsh David (who was the door whore as well) and Albert. There were loads of people and a groovy atmosphere. I had a weird reaction to combination of cocktails and 2 different kind of class a drugs. I sat on a chair and pondered death for a bit, before deciding to dance.
David and I also had the sesire to listen to tracks suchs as "Close to You" by the Carpenters and "Fernando" by Abba. And I did when I got home.

Saturday

I went to Argos. I got caught in the rain. My cold resurfaced with a vengence. Popped a few more cold and flus and spent the night watching exciting programmes such as the X-Factor and movies such as Blade.

Sunday

1. Attempted to tidy room. Gave up.

2. Attempted to build things I purchased at Argos on Saturday. Got confused.

3. Tim rang so went to Camden.Shoved Argos "easy assembly" stuff in a heap in a corner.

4. Sat in the Good Mixer watching the not every exciting game between Chelsea and Liverpool. Far more entertaining were the other people sat on the table who were obviously wasted. One of them could barely keep his head up. They were dressed like extras from Velvey Goldmine or a Libertines video. They were also popping pills with their pints. Waste of pill, really but very entertaining for us to watch.

5. Had dodgy noodles in the stables.

6. Motorcycle Diaries. Fab film, but it made me feel extremely home sick for Argentina and reinforced my plan to spend 3 months travelling the country on my 30th birthday.
