Le Tigre at Popstarz where brilliant and just plain fun. The girls looked rather bemused, and concerned because of all the pushing and shoving, but there were no casualties in the end and everyone was pleased in the end.

I was pushed to the front, where all the mad-for-it lesbians were, which was great because they mostly seemed to be shorter than me. I thought I would die during Decepticon but I lived. Evidently.

There were a lot of people I hadn’t seen in a while there, which is always good, and it was well crowded.

I was quite pissed, but not too bad. Certainly the alcoholic winner of the night was Welsh David who had a quadruple vodka and cranberry.

Saturday

I felt poo and menstrual so I just sulked for a bit, built my shoe tidy and went to the gym. I watched X-Factor (oh Andy, we will miss you!) and got ready to meet Vanessa in town when I realised all I really wanted to do was stay home and watch the two hours of Xtra Factor on ITV2. So I did.

Sunday Jenga Club

Vanessa and I managed to meet up at the over-priced CafĂ© in the Park in St. James’ Park. Although delicious, I do not like paying £4.10 for a latte, small pear juice and nectarine. It wasn't THAT good.

Meanwhile, Andreea and Simon were protesting about London to end the occupation and said they were heading to the ICA so we wandered across the road and paid our £2.50 day membership fee and wondered why we never got around to just buying a membership as we go there quite often.

For once, we managed to get the sofa section, which is slightly raised and more private. We also saw that the kind people from the ICA had put out game boards and one was Jenga. (When I say kind people I do not mean the anorexic waitress or the manager who were bitches when we sent back the crappy pumpkin “hummus” dish they served. This hummus dish had no chic peas or garlic. It was pumpkin mash, I don’t know why the called it hummus).

We played Jenga, which gave Simon much anxiety and he had to pull out of the first game. When the tower callapsed Vanessa screamed and everyone in the bar stopped, turned and stared at us. It was great.

Simon and Andreea left, and Vanessa and I carried on playing Jenga. One of the guys in the group next to us asked to play and we carried on the three of us. His name is Jason and he’s like a hybrid of Khalid and Hani. It sounds weird but he was lovely. We played some one on one matched and it was established that I am the JENGA KNIGHT supreme.

Some of Jason’s friends joined us, and we had a particularly anxious match, which we needed a break from afterwards for about 5 minutes and then we played with some other people. I played almost 5 hours straight of Jenga and met loads of new people.

Who knew that pieces of wood could be so exciting, nerve-wracking and add so much to your social life.
